3. Why does my browser time out when I leave it idle?
This is a built-in security feature that will automatically log you out of the CIMB Clicks website after 5 minutes of non-activity on your browser. This is incorporated to ensure that your accounts are not accessed by unauthorised individuals should you leave your PC unattended.

6. How can I be sure that the transactions that have been performed online cannot be viewed by an unauthorised person or stored in the cache memory of the computer that was used?
To ensure complete confidentiality, you are advised to clear the cache memory of the Internet browser.

Browser How to clear cache?
Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6
Right click on the IE icon and proceed to click 'Properties'. When the 'Properties' window pops up, click on the 'Delete Files' button in the temporary Internet files box.

A 'Delete Files' window will then pop up, prompting you to confirm this transaction. Click on the box to confirm deletion for all 'Offline Content' and then click OK.

Version 7
Right click on the IE icon and proceed to click 'Properties'. When the 'Properties' window pops up, click on the 'Delete' button in the browsing history box.

A 'Delete Browsing History' window will then pop up. Click 'Delete Files' and then click 'Yes'. This will ensure that no unauthorised viewers will be able to see your transactions.
Netscape Navigator Netscape users can clear the cache memory on their browsers by clicking to 'EDIT' and then selecting 'PREFERENCES'. In 'PREFERENCES' click on 'ADVANCE' and then select 'CACHE'.

In ' CACHE', select 'Clear Memory Cache' and 'Clear Disk Cache' and then 'OK'. This will clear all the previous history of your browser.
Mozilla Firefox On the top navigation menu, click ‘Tools’ and select ‘Clear Private Data’. Tick items that you wish to clear before clicking to ‘Clear Private Data Now’.
SeaMonkey Select ‘Preferences..’ from SeaMonkey’s navigation menu. Under ‘Advanced’ in the left-hand list, click ‘Cache’.

In the ' Page in cache is compared to page on network' section, make sure that the ' Never' or ' Once per session' button is NOT checked. The best setting is ' Every time I view the page,' which ensures that your browser will always show you the fresh Web page rather than the stale cached copy.

In the ‘Cache’ section, click ‘Clear Cache’ button. Then click ‘OK’ to close the Preferences window. To exit the browser, just click to close.
Apple Safari From Safari’s navigation menu, click ‘Empty Cache’. You’d then be prompted a message ‘Are you sure you want to empty the cache?’ Just click ‘Empty’.
