1. Where can I use my ATM card? Are there any charges for using my ATM card overseas?
 
Within Singapore CIMB ATM:
You can use your ATM card at our ATMs in any of our branches.

Regional CIMB ATM:
You may use your ATM card at over 6000 CIMB ATMs regionally, with zero service charge.
Conversion will be based on CIMB Bank's prevailing exchange rate.

Overseas Other Banks ATM:
For withdrawal at PLUS ATMs globally, all conversion will be made based on CIMB Bank’s prevailing exchange rate. While CIMB does not charge any administrative fees, a currency conversion fee of 1% will be imposed by VISA for processing such transactions, and an additional service fee, which may vary from bank to bank, may be imposed by the bank whose ATM you are using for the withdrawal.

2. I can use my card at CIMB Singapore ATM. Why am I not able to use it overseas?
 

There is a separate overseas usage feature on your card that needs to be activated before it can be accepted at the overseas ATM.

3. What is the maximum amount I can withdraw overseas?
 

The maximum withdrawal amount is subjected to your pre-set daily cash withdrawal limit or the local ATM limit, whichever is lower.

4. How can I change my ATM cash withdrawal limit?
 

The default limit is S$3,000. You can update your limit by submitting your request at any of our branches or mail the completed CIMB ATM Card Service Request Form back to us.

The available limits are S$1,000, S$2,000, S$3,000, S$5,000 or S$10,000.

5. Will my PIN work in a different country?
 

Yes. The PIN that you use for local withdrawal will work at the overseas ATM as well.

6. Will I receive SMS E-Alerts notifications when I am overseas?
 

Yes. Your mobile service provider will be able to give you information on receiving SMSes sent from Singapore whilst overseas.

7. Will I be charged for the overseas ATM withdrawal E-Alerts?
 

No. CIMB currently provides E-Alert notifications for free. Please do note that the normal SMS charges imposed by your mobile operator will still apply for SMS E-Alert notifications.

8. Can I change the E-Alert limit or opt-out from receiving E-Alerts for overseas ATM withdrawals?
 

No. To provide you with better security, E-Alerts for overseas ATM withdrawals are mandatory for every successful overseas ATM withdrawal, regardless of amount.

9. How can I register or update my mobile number or email address to receive E-Alerts?
 

To register or update your mobile number or email address, simply log on to www.cimbclicks.com.sg and update your E-Alert notification contact details via the “Clicks Settings” menu. Alternatively, you may submit your request at any of our Branches or mail the completed E-Alert Notification Service Update Form.
